Our upcoming production Tá Brón Orm will perform in Belfast October 24th on the MAC Belfasts Main Stage, as part of the Belfast International Arts Festival’s Culture Ireland Showcase.
Tá Brón Orm begins in an Ireland that never recovered. In a reimagined reality where The Great Famine erased its people and its stories. We whiteness the last mythical beings of the island take their final breath. Drawn from three short tales written by Michael McEvoy, of the Banshee, the Siren, and the Hunger Fields this short work is a piece of physical poetry and a metaphor for the loss of the Irish language in the North of Ireland.
